TNC Pro Team reclaims second place with 17 points.
Despite being a few points away from surpassing ECHO on the regular season leaderboards, TNC Pro Team thinks it will still be a challenge.

TNC Pro Team continued its dominant run in the fifth week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9 with another victory against Omega Esports. The fan theory regarding TNC Pro Team struggling to win a three-game series has also been debunked after a successful 2-1 victory against Omega Esports. With a successful run in the fifth week of the MPL PH Season 9, TNC Pro Team reclaimed second place on the regular season leaderboards with 17 points. TNC Pro Team is looking forward to taking the number one spot from ECHO who currently has 18 points.

Omega Esports struggled to keep up with TNC Pro Team’s momentum

The first game saw a tug of war between the two teams. However, just when TNC Pro Team’s burst damage became unbearable, the whole Omega Esports squad opted to purchase Athena Shield which prevented their opponent from delivering huge burst damage. This allowed Grant “Kelra” Duane Pillas to farm enough gold to hit a powerspike and spearhead Omega Esports into securing the first win of the series.

TNC Pro Team opened up a third deciding match.

TNC Pro Team dominated the second match thanks to Ben "Benthings" Maglaque’s Khufra taking control of team fights. Despite having Mathilda and Grock who fortified the team’s defenses, Omega Esports lacked the necessary area damage to put pressure in team fights. TNC Pro Team capitalized on this weakness and spearheaded the match into securing its first win and opening a third deciding match in the series.

The deciding match went downhill for Omega Esports as it struggled to keep up with TNC Pro Team’s momentum. Daniel "SDzyz" Chu’s Lancelot had the gold advantage in the early game which allowed Robee "Yasuwo" Bryan Pormocille’s Beatrix to easily farm lanes to reach his power spike. Being in a very dominant position, TNC Pro Team finished the series with a 2-1 victory against Omega Esports.

Omega Esports could not secure a single kill.

TNC Pro Team remains humble as it draws closer to surpassing ECHO

With a few points away from surpassing ECHO, TNC Pro Team’s coach Jemson "Scholar" Glean Ignacio still believes that taking the number one spot will be a tough challenge.

“50-50, of course, we respect all the teams. For us, all the teams are strong,” said the TNC Pro Team coach through a post-match interview.

Benthings echoed the coach’s statement, saying that all the teams are giving their best efforts and it will all depend on who has the best execution between matches.

“All the teams practice, both give extra effort. So the execution in-game will decide, whoever can pull off their plans better will win,” said Benthings.

TNC Pro Team is up for another challenge as it will be facing the defending champions, Blacklist International on 19th March. It will be interesting to see if TNC Pro Team will be able to surpass ECHO in the fifth week of the MPL PH Season 9.
