Team SouL is the winner of BMPS (Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series) Season 1 and Goblin has been named the tournament's MVP.
Team SouL secured a total of 335 points, including 166 placement points, and 169 finishes, along with 42% of the frags being taken by Goblin alone.
Team SouL has showcased impeccable consistency in the first phase of the competitive season, currently standing as the best BGMI team in India.

The first official BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) tournament of the 2022 competitive circuit, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1, concluded after four weeks of intense competition as Team SouL were crowned as the champions, walking away with INR 78,00,000 in prize money.

As expected, Team SouL was right on the money when performing in the most important BGMI tournament of the season so far. With 5 WWCDs (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) to its name across 24 matches, SouL accumulated a total of 335 points, including 166 placement points and 169 finishes.

Team SouL's star assaulter, Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal, running the offense for the side was named the MVP (Most Valuable Person) of the tournament having secured a total of 71 finishes, which is roughly 42% of all finishes taken by the team.

BMPS Season 1: Team SouL lifts the trophy with Goblin being named as the MVP

Team SouL had qualified with flying colours through the Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge (BMOC) Round 4, cementing themselves as one of the favorites to win the BMPS Season 1.

The expectations were further bolstered by SouL's top-class performance during the League Stage of BMPS Season 1, where they held on to first place for nearly two weeks before slipping down to the second place as OR Esports overtook them, with a difference of 43 points between them.

This tussle between the two sides continued in the Grand Finals of BMPS Season 1, but SouL stepped up its game this time around and seemed unstoppable, securing an early lead with consecutive victories in the second and third match. They continued to build upon this lead by racking up points and finished with a difference of 85 points between them and the second ranked OR Esports.

With this, Team SouL becomes the best BGMI team in the country at this points in time, continuing its excellent and highly consistent form which started in January earlier this year. They remain unmatched when it comes to aggression, knowing really well when to pick fights and how to overcome the most unfavorable situations.

Also, having a talented assaulter like Goblin only adds more strength to this side. He was the 'Player of the Day' on the second, third, and fourth days of the Grand Finals, which resulted in him being crowned as both the MVP of the tournament and the fan-favorite player.

Team SouL seems to be in top shape and are the 'team to beat' going into the second half of the competitive season. Having proven themselves, it remains to be seen as to how long can they hold on to this top spot as multiple teams are undergoing lineup changes to better themselves for the journey ahead.
