A number of Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) esports athletes look for an opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities. Underdog teams and upcoming players always wish to play against the best and Tanmay “Scout” Singh has brought about his Scout invitational tournament back for this purpose.

Scout is the owner of Team X Spark, and is also a content creator and streamer for S8UL Esports. He had announced the Scout Invitational event’s comeback as BGMI returned in May. 

Now, in a recent live stream, Scout explained the details of the event. Even though the format is revealed he has said that some changes will be made to it.

Scout Invitational detailed 

The Scout Invitational will be an open for all event along with invited teams from the recently concluded Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2. The open qualifiers will have over 2000 slots. 

Number of teams: The total number of teams is expected to be over 2000 for the open qualifiers along with invited teams in the quarter and semi finals. 

Round 1: The first round will consist of the open qualifiers where over 2000 teams will compete. The teams will be divided into 128 groups with 16 teams in each group. Each group will play 2 matches consisting of the maps of Erangel and Miramar. Round 1 will take place for 10 days and top 8 teams from each group will proceed to Round 2.

Round 2: The second round will have over 1000 teams divided into 64 groups and each group will play 3 matches each consisting of the maps of Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. The top 4 from each group will advance to Round 3.

Round 3: Round 3 will have 256 teams divided into 16 groups. Each group will play 4 matches each on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi. The top 4 from each group will advance to the next round.

Round 4: Round 4 will have 64 teams divided into 4 groups of 16 teams each. Each group will play 4 matches each on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi. The top 4 from each group will advance to the next round.

Quarter Finals: The quarter final will consist of 32 teams, the 16 teams from the open qualifiers and 16 teams from BGMS Season 2 Semifinals. It will be played in a round robin format consisting of 6 matches per day and each team shall play 3 matches everyday for 4 days. The top 16 teams will advance to the semi finals.

Semifinals: The semi finals will consist of 32 teams, the 16 teams from the quarterfinals and 16 teams from BGMS Season 2 Grand Finals. It will be played in a round robin format consisting of 6 matches per day with each team playing 3 matches everyday for 2 days. The top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals: The Grand Finals will have 16 teams playing 4 matches each day for 2 days. The first day will consist of the maps Erangel, Miramar, Erangel and Sanhok. The matches will be played in Third Person Perspective (TPP) mode. The matches on the second day will be played on the maps of Miramar, Erangel Miramar and Vikendi in the First Person Perspective (FPP) mode.

The prize pool and streaming platform details for the event have not yet been revealed. The matches will be streamed from the quarter finals stage onwards. The event details mentioned above are raw details and changes will be made to it. It is recommended that players and viewers wait for the official announcement of the event.
