RSG Singapore (SG) has successfully defended its title in the Mobile Legends: Professional League (MPL) SG Season 4. The reigning champion had a back-to-back championship win after an intense beatdown against Slate Esports, resulting in a 4-3 score. The back-to-back champion will also have the honor of representing its region in the upcoming M4 World Championship. Additionally, the team will also be heading home with the $25,500 USD prize money. RSG SG also had a flawless run in the MPL SG Season 4 with a total of 7 series wins, only dropping one game out of the 14 games it played.

RSG SG is heading to the M4 World Championship

The defending champion had a very dominant run in the MPL SG Season 4. However, one team was able to give it a tough run. Slate Esports was comprised of the former members of EVOS SG who stood up to the challenge and faced the Singaporean raiders.

Both teams were able to even out each other’s scores 2-2. However, Slate Esports had the upper hand in the succeeding round with a strong four-man push to take a third win. While the former White Tigers were one win away from taking the crown, RSG SG’s star players Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov and Jovan “Babycakes” Heng were able to spearhead the team to a victory and open up a tiebreaker round.

Slate Esports fought valiantly against RSG SG in the final game. However, the Singaporean raiders had the early game advantage and capitalized with a 6-1 kill score lead at the 10-minute mark. RSG SG eventually ended the game at the 15-minute mark in a dominant fashion and won the series with a 4-3 score.

RSG SG is now among the teams who are confirmed to be participating in the upcoming M4 World Championships. It shall be most interesting to see how the team performs against the top teams from different regions.
