Blacklist International has formally clinched the top playoff seed in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The final game of the regular season saw the codebreakers deliver a clean sweep victory against ECHO with a 2-0 scoreline and the team has now secured a playoff berth.
During a post-game press conference, Blacklist International's head coach, Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza, expressed his happiness at the squad finally coming back into its championship form. The coach also believes that the team's achievement of reaching the top seed also makes for a strong statement about its continued desire for triumph and its determination to keep pushing forward for another championship title.
Blacklist International makes quick work of ECHO in its final regular season match
In its final game of the MPL PH Season 10 regular season, Blacklist International displayed a commanding presence. With nine victories and five defeats, the codebreakers took first place overall and scored a total of 29 points.
ECHO had poor results in both the games of the series. The incredible amount of healing delivered by Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna's Estes prevented the foundation of Blacklist International from collapsing. This made the super team's battles much tougher, forcing it to withdraw and play defensively. Blacklist International kept its momentum, winning all the important objectives and took control of the map to win the series with a 2-0 scoreline in quite the dominant fashion.
Securing the top spot in the regular season despite the early jitters is a big statement for Blacklist International
In a post-game news conference, the team's head coach, BON CHAN, expressed his relief at the fact that despite the team getting off to a rocky start, the squad was still able to hold onto the top playoff seed.
“They said this season every team has improved and is quite strong. But even so, it’s still a good statement that we were able to prove that after the regular season we’re still number one,” said the coach.
He added that this means the team “is still hungry to win and grab a championship title” despite it already achieving a plethora of major wins in its journey in the MLBB esports scene.
The top six teams on the regular season leaderboard will have two weeks to get ready for the playoff round of the MPL PH Season 10. It will be intriguing to watch who wins the championship title for this season.
