The former members of EVOS Singapore (SG) have been acquired by a new esports organization named Slate Esports. The team will be competing in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Singapore (SG) Season 4. EVOS SG had previously announced its roster’s release. However, the journey of the White Tigers doesn’t end there as the players will be making a comeback under a new team, Slate Esports, with the help of the Web3 Media Startup, Avium. Slate Esports will compete in the MPL SG Season 4 in hopes of securing a slot in the pinnacle of MLBB esports, the M4 World Championship.

Avium backs former EVOS SG squad to form a new team for MPL SG

EVOS SG was one of the best MLBB teams in Singapore. The team was able to keep up with the best teams in the world and even topped the M3 World Championship group stage with three wins and no losses. However, the team was shortly eliminated after a huge upset against Blacklist International in the lower bracket semi-finals.

When the team was officially released in July 2022, fans were looking forward to the squad’s return to the esports scene. It was not until 27th August that an announcement was made, revealing that the pro players will be playing under a new banner, Slate Esports.

In the post, the esports organization stated, “Slate Esports, endorsed by Avium, is coming to MPL Singapore! Are you ready for more MLBB action? See you in the Land of Dawn!”

The team is composed of the following members;

  • Akihiro "JPL" Furusawa

  • Tristan "Gear" Christopher Nathanael

  • Adam "Adammir" Chong

  • Basil Lim "Seilah" Dao Ze

  • Ng "fmm" Bi De

  • Jaeden "Jae" Tan

  • Daryl Ng "Youngin" Jun Da - Coach

Players such as Goh "Joxx" Skye, Du "Nick" Jing Yun Nicklaus, and Stefan "Soul" Chong Ru Chyi are not part of the roster. However, new names such as fmm and Jae have been signed to complete the squad.

It will be interesting to see how the former EVOS SG squad will perform under its new team name, Slate Esports, in the upcoming MPL SG Season 4.
