Rohit Jagasia, Owner and CEO, Revenant Esports recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out people from the esports industry for poaching players from the team. He also shared some details of the incident.
Revenant Esports Owner reveals player poaching after Skyeports Championship 5.0 and Upthrust Diwali Battle 2023 LAN events
A couple of days ago Rohit Jagasia took to X and shared a message which read, “Contracts and esports, a better love story than Twilight.” The message confused everyone including fans and a few industry individuals as well.
He further went on to share one more post which added context to his last post. The post read, “There are people in this ecosystem who claim to be putting in the work to grow this industry holistically but also try to break a team that has stuck together since the game is back just before a significant tournament and after a successful outing in Bangalore. Well done.”
According to the post, after the conclusion of the Skyesports Championship 5.0 and Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023 LAN Events held in Bangalore someone approached a player from Revenant Esports.
Adding to this, Shiva Nandy, CEO and Founder, Skyesports wrote, “We all are working very hard to grow this ecosystem. Contracts and binding MOUs must be taken seriously and there should be a proper transfer window like sport. Poaching is not cool.”
Revenant Esports had a good performance in the Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023 event but its major performance was in the Skyesports Championship 5.0 LAN finals where it placed second.
Currently there are several changes being made in various BGMI teams and with the absence of a proper esports governing body, esports organizations are suffering from the poaching problem.
