Omega Esports’ star rookie, Duane “Kelra” Pillas revealed that he is just getting warmed up and still has more to show in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8. With the team’s young prodigy finally returning to the main roster after his suspension has been lifted, Omega Esports gained the momentum it needed with Kelra leading the frontline and won a match against TNC Pro team with a clean sweep victory of 2-0. The pro player stated during a post-match interview that he has more surprises up his sleeve and he is hungry for redemption in the MPL PH Season 8.

Omega Esports’ star player Kelra returns for MPL PH Season 8

During the first two weeks of the MPL PH season, Kelra was forced to sit in the back and watch his team compete due to the suspension that was imposed by the MPL league on him. However, Omega Esports had a noticeable improvement in its gameplay when Kelra finally joined the squad in the third week.

The former Execration squad did lose against Bren Esports with a score of 0-2, in favor of Bren Esports, giving the team its third losing streak of the season. However, the team ended their week three run with a clean sweep victory against TNC Pro Team with a score of 2-0.

After the conclusion of the match between Omega Esports and TNC Pro Team, Kelra confidently stated in a post-match interview that he kept his fire burning while his suspension was still ongoing.

“I was keeping myself warmed up while I still couldn’t play,” stated Kelra. “I just helped my team on what they can do. That’s all I can do since I was not allowed to play.”

Fans will be able to see more of Kelra’s surprises as the star player confidently stated that his gameplay during week three was not his true playstyle. He is yet to show how much he has improved since his team won the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021.

This isn’t my actual playstyle, I haven’t shown it yet,” stated Kelra.

It’s a long and perilous journey for Omega Esports as they are currently sitting in fourth place in the current standing with two wins and five losses. The team will have to grind hard and win more matches if they want to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Omega Esports is set to continue its fight for redemption on 19th Sept 2021 at 6:00 PM (PHT) against RSG PH. It will be interesting to see if the MSC 2021 champions will be able to keep its momentum going and become the MPL PH Season 8 champions.
