The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10 opened with a rematch between the two of the most dominant teams from the previous season. Hungry for revenge, Smart Omega’s star Gold Laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas spearheaded the team into securing a 2-0 clean sweep victory against the renowned Kingslayers. While the team is known for showing its dominance only in the final stages of the tournament, the Smart-backed squad proved they can also kick off with a dominant performance. RSG PH is now the first team in the MPL PH Season 10 to suffer an upsetting loss with no points on the table.

The stakes are high for both teams as they were the grand finalists in the previous season. RSG PH was looking to prove its dominance on the opening day but was cut short by Omega Esports with a dominant 2-0 clean sweep win.

While RSG PH showed dominance in the early game, Omega Esports proved they are the late-game kings with Kelra leading the charge. Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog gets an honorable mention for his impressive engages as the team’s tank specialist, breaking RSG PH’s formation every team fight.

Dylan “Light” Catipon desperately tried to find ways to maximize his team’s lead in the early game. However, RSG PH’s highly aggressive approach was no match for Omega Esports’ well calculated executions. The series ended with a massive four-man wipe out for RSG PH and the team lost its first game of the MPL PH Season 10.
