Nova Esports dominated the PMGO 2024 PEL Qualifiers and secured a spot in the PMGO 2024 main event.
Order from Nova Esports was the MVP of the qualifiers with 33 finishes.

The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024 Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) qualifiers have concluded with Nova Esports winning the event. The event was played from 8th to 10th March in the offline format and featured the top 16 teams from the first two weeks of the PEL 2024 Spring tournament. By winning the event, Nova Esports has earned itself a spot in the PMGO 2024 main event which boasts a prize pool of $500,000 USD and will be played in Sao Paulo, Brazil later this year. This will be Nova Esports' return to a global tournament after over a year.

PMGO 2024 PEL Qualifiers Overview

Nova Esports was the most dominant squad in the qualifiers and was placed at the top spot with 161 points including 97 elimination points. Weibo Gaming  dominated Day 1 of the event but slipped to the second spot on Day 2 and secured 139 points and 83 elimination points. Four Angry Men was placed at the first spot after the conclusion of Day 2 but it slipped to the third spot on Day 3 and was able to grab 136 points and 85 elimination points.

The Chosen squad placed fourth and got 127 points including 71 elimination points. Kone Esports placed fifth securing 121 points and 84 elimination points. Vision Esports and Thundertalk placed sixth and seventh grabbing 119 points each. Team Pai placed eighth with 118 points. LGD Gaming and Tong Jia Bao Esports placed ninth and tenth securing 106 and 97 points respectively.

Nova Esports has returned to the global platform after almost a year of inconsistent perfomances in several regional events in the 2023 season. Zeng "Order" Zehai and Zhu "Paraboy" Bocheng from Nova Esports put forth dominant performances across matches in the qualifiers with both of them securing 33 and 29 finishes respectively. Order was the MVP performer and was placed at the top of the finish leaderboard.

It will be interesting to see how Nova Esports performs on the international stage under their new In Game Leader (IGL), Order, after it let go of its seasoned IGL, Jimmy, in the recent PEL 2024 transfer window.
