The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8 Week 7 has concluded. This final week of the regular season of MPL PH Season 8 has officially ended with the top six teams preparing for the playoffs stage. Bren Esports and TNC Pro Team will have to bid farewell for now and hope to recover in the next season of the MPL PH. Meanwhile, a slight hiccup from Blacklist International’s star rookie Kiel "Oheb" Soriano was witnessed by fans which got him penalized. Here is a quick recap of the matches during the MPL PH Season 8 Week 7.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 7 Day 1

Nexplay EVOS vs RSG PH (2-0)

RSG PH started strong with an eight-kill lead at the 10-minute mark. However, with Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse back in the EXP Lane for Nexplay EVOS, the team found its momentum and cruised through the match against RSG PH. The match ended with a clean sweep score of 2-0, in favor of Nexplay EVOS.

RSG PH tried to contest for the lord.

Omega Esports vs TNC Pro Team (2-0)

TNC Pro Team went too aggressive in their match against Omega Esports but failed to keep its opponents from securing objectives. With each kill of TNC Pro Team, Omega Esports was able to counter it with even more kills. The match ended with a clean sweep victory score of 2-0 for Omega Esports.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 7 Day 2

Bren Esports vs ECHO (0-2)

Both teams were desperate to secure points to book a playoffs spot. However, ECHO never gave up even if the odds were stacked against them. Bren Esports almost struck gold when they almost managed to secure a win during the second match but ECHO made sure to hold its fort in the 11-minute mark, allowing them to make a huge comeback. The match ended with ECHO securing a clean sweep score of 0-2 against Bren Esports.

RSG PH vs ONIC PH (1-2)

RSG PH started strong in the first match with a huge kill lead of 14 kills while ONIC PH only had 4 kills. However, ONIC PH stood firm and recovered in the succeeding matches. RSG PH tried to flip the tides but the team couldn’t stall the game long enough to recover. The match ended with a score of 1-2, in favor of ONIC PH.

Blacklist International vs Omega Esports (2-0)

The battle between the MPL PH champions and Southeast Asia (SEA) champions emerged. In the thick of it, Blacklist International showed their relentless meta and secured a clean sweep score of 2-0 against Omega Esports.

Omega Esports struggled against Blacklist International.

However, one of its members Oheb got into trouble by flashing a middle finger after the match ended. The pro player received a two-match suspension and a heft $500 USD fine for his unprofessional behavior.

MPL PH Season 8 - Week 7 Day 3

ONIC PH vs TNC Pro Team (0-2)

TNC Pro Team went for the last hurrah and defeated ONIC PH in a battle of wits. Although TNC Pro Team is already eliminated from the playoffs stage, the team proved they are still a force to reckon with. The match ended with a clean sweep score of 2-0, in favor of TNC Pro Team.

Bren Esports vs Blacklist International (0-2)

The match was pretty serious during the first round. The second match, however, was more of an exhibition match rather than a serious competition. Both teams were simply having fun instead of competing with Bren Esports not banning any heroes and just played the game to entertain everyone. The match ended with Blacklist International taking the win with a score of 2-0 against Bren Esports.

Omega Esports vs Nexplay EVOS (1-1)

Nexplay EVOS threw all its cards and allowed Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya and Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio to play in the final match of the regular season. The same thing for Omega Esports as it sent Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso to go head to head against Nexplay’s veteran player Dogie. The match ended with a match score of 1-2, in favor of Nexplay EVOS.
