MPL Brazil: Prize Pool, Format, Registration, All You Need to Know
The first official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang league tournament in South America, MPL Brazil is all set for its grand debut, boasting a prize pool of $30,000 USD. The upcoming MPL Brazil will start on July 16, 2021, with an open qualifier lasting three days. The top two teams from the qualifier will join the invited teams in the regular season where they will compete in a Group Stage followed by the playoffs in a bid to compete for the MPL Brazil championship. The grand finals will be hosted in São Paulo, Brazil where they will face each other in a BO5 match.
MPL Brazil Season 1: Here’s What We Know
The tournament features 6 invited Mobile Legends pro teams from Brazil along with two underdogs from the qualifiers for the very first official MPL circuit outside of the Southeast Asia region.
Registration for the open qualifiers is currently open and can be accessed through the official MPL Brazil Website.
Moonton is yet to reveal the invited teams for the MPL BR Season 1. The two qualified teams will be determined after the conclusion of the Qualifier stage on July 18, 2021.
MPL Brazil Season 1 Tournament Format and Schedule
MPL BR Season 1 will start with an open qualifier to determine the top two teams that will advance to the regular season, along with the six invited teams. Regular season and playoff games will be played in a BO3 format. The grand finals will be a BO5 match and will be held offline in São Paulo, Brazil.
Here are the schedules for each stage of the tournament;
Open Qualifiers: July 16 - 17, 2021
Regular Season: August 14 - September 19, 2021
Playoffs: October 9 - October 10, 2021
Grand Finals: October 16, 2021
Starting in 2022, every year, the MPL BR will be divided into two seasons and will consist of four stages: Qualifiers, Season Professional (Regular Season), Playoffs, and the grand finals.
Prize Pool Distribution for MPL Brazil Season 1
The top 8 teams will be competing for the lion’s share of the $30,000 USD prize pool. Here is the prize distribution for the tournament;
1st Place - $12,000 USD
2nd Place - $8,000 USD
3rd Place - $5,000 USD
4th Place - $2,500 USD
5th Place - $1,400 USD
6th Place - $500 USD
7th Place - $300 USD
8th Place - $300 USD
