After the reveal of EVOS Esports returning to the Philippines through a partnership with Nexplay Esports, a Singapore-based esports organization, RSG is reportedly looking to join the upcoming tournament, according to a report from Tierbreaker Times. Following the recent reports of MPL PH adopting a franchise-based system, RSG is reportedly bringing a foreign coach as an import for their MPL PH Season 8 team roster. Being one of the biggest esports organizations in Singapore, RSG currently holds two teams in Singapore and Malaysia. More details regarding the RSG’s plans in participating in the upcoming MPL PH Season 8 can be found below.

RSG to Join MPL PH Season 8

Singapore-based organization, RSG may be looking to participate in the upcoming MPL PH Season 8. According to a report from Tierbreaker Times, RSG is one of the teams that secured a spot for the upcoming tournament alongside Nexplay EVOS, Bren Esports, ONIC PH, Aura PH, Omega Esports, Work Auster Force-TNC, and Blacklist International. MSC 2021 champions Execration made an official statement that they won’t be able to participate in the upcoming MPL PH Season 8. However, their team will be transferred to a new organization where they will participate under a new banner.

RSG is also reportedly importing a foreign coach to manage its MPL PH team which will feature a mix of veteran and rookie members. RSG is yet to officially confirm this statement and their full roster for the upcoming MPL PH season remains a mystery.

RSG currently holds two Mobile Legends teams from Malaysia and Singapore. RSG MY took the championship title in the MPL MY Season 7 after dominating the fan-favorite team, Todak. On the other hand, RSG SG finished second place in the MPL SG Season 1 after dropping in the hands of EVOS Legends. If the Philippine team for RSG officially announces, it would be the third Mobile Legends team under their management.

With the recent success of Philippine teams from various large-scale MLBB tournaments such as the M2 World Championship and the MSC 2021, it wouldn’t be a surprise if foreign organizations like RSG will seek opportunities to gain knowledge on the region’s meta and further broaden their knowledge and improve their team’s playstyle.
