MortaL is a prominent personality in the gaming industry, with over 6.98 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He has played a crucial role in shaping the BGMI (and PUBG Mobile) community into what it is today. However, after many ups and downs in his esports career and due to the PUBG Mobile ban, MortaL decided to step back from competitive gaming and instead focus on creating content.

In a recent livestream, MortaL explained that he initially entered the BGMI competitive gaming scene not out of a desire to compete but because he enjoyed playing the game. "When I started playing BGMI competitively, it was not because I wanted to, but because I enjoyed it a lot. He said, " I gave my best in competitive gaming as much as I could," he said. Following this, MortaL revealed that he wanted to pursue a career as a streamer and YouTuber, primarily a streamer, so he entered streaming and left competitive gaming.

MortaL explains that the increasing competition in esports, due to the influx of new players with affordable smartphones and gaming devices, has made it difficult to balance running a YouTube channel and being a successful esports player. "Esports has become so cut-to-cut and neck-to-neck competitive these days that you cannot and it is very difficult to handle a YouTube channel and be a very successful esports player," he said.

After his departure from competitive gaming, MortaL has been guiding Team SouL as a mentor along with being a full-time streamer. With the organization's efforts and a new team, Team SouL has re-established itself as one of the best teams in the country in 2022. Furthermore, S8UL Esports has stepped up its content creation game so high it recently won the "Content Group of the Year" award at the prestigious Esports Awards 2022.
