S8UL Esports has become the first Indian esports organization to win an award at The Esports Awards 2022. The Indian organization was crowned as the ‘The Content Group of the Year’ in the awards ceremony. S8UL Esports was one of the ten finalists that were shortlisted for this award alongside other big-league organizations like 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, LOUD, One True King, OfflineTV, and more.

This marks the end of a tremendous 2022 for the organization where they’ve gone from strength to strength winning multiple titles in various disciplines, whilst producing some incredible content through their creators in the Indian esports ecosystem.

S8UL Esports become the first Indian organization to win at The Esports Awards

S8UL was the first Indian esports organization to be nominated at The Esports Awards 2022 and has now also become the first Indian esports organization to win an award at this prestigious ceremony. Unfortunately, the representatives of the organization were not able to attend the event.

However, the Esports Awards played a pre-recorded video of the co-owners of S8UL Esports: Naman “MortaL” Mathur, Lokesh “Goldy” Jain, and Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, where they thanked all the members of S8UL Esports and its fans.

In the pre-recorded video, MortaL said, “First of all, it came in as a surprise that we were nominated for the ‘Content Group of the Year’ award. It is hard to believe that we have actually won it. Now that we are here, thank you everyone so much for your support. Wish we were there, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make it. Anyways, thank you so much everyone for your constant support. Our only goal is to keep moving forward.”

Goldy was ecstatic after winning the ‘Content Group of the Year’ award. He showed gratitude towards The Esports Awards, S8UL Esports’ fans, and all the members of the organization. “I am really short on words right now. Thank you, every one of you. You know you are the reason we are here. Thank you to everyone throughout the country, throughout the globe, who has shown this massive support to us,” Goldy said. “From being nowhere to here; it’s a dream. It’s magical. I still can’t process this feeling, but I really want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Thank you to every member of S8UL, every creator who has helped us to pursue our journey till here. I am really grateful to the Esports Awards for recognizing us and nominating us as the Content Group of the Year. It feels great, and I am really humbled by this award. It really means the world to us. We are doing great; we’ll keep moving forward. Thank you.”

During Thug’s speech, he hinted that S8UL Esports is looking forward to expanding beyond borders and making S8UL Esports an international content creation team. “Winning this award is a global recognition for S8UL. Going into 2023, S8UL aims to not only be a content creation team from India, but a content creation team from all around the globe. Once again, I’d like to thank the Esports Awards for honoring us with this prestigious ‘Content Group of the Year,’ and I’m super thankful to the fans and every member of S8UL who has worked really hard over the last few years to help us achieve this. Thank you everyone.”

It is a proud moment for the Indian gaming community that an Indian organization has won a prestigious award at The Esports Awards 2022. Moving forward, it will be exciting to see how S8UL Esports expands its horizons in 2023.
