MLBB Malaysia Championship Season 1: What We Know

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Malaysia Championship (MMC) Season 1 will soon kick off on August 2, 2021. The tournament will feature amateur teams competing for the lion’s share of the RM 30,000 ($7,098 USD) prize pool along with 210,000 in-game diamonds. The MMC Season 1 is exclusive to amateur teams and players. All the participants have gone through background checks to make sure they are not professional players. The tournament will start with the state qualifiers identifying the top players from the country who will then proceed to the regular season. MMC Season 1: What We Know

Malaysia’s Esports platform, Whales Esports, will host an amateur tournament titled, MMC Season 1, with a prize pool of RM 30,000 ($7,098 USD) and 210,000 in-game diamonds.

There will be 14 participating regions in Malaysia with a total of 64 teams in each region. The top teams from each region will proceed in the regular season where only the top 8 teams will be able to proceed in the playoffs stage to compete for the championship title.

The format of the game will be double elimination. BO3 Matches will be played in the playoffs while the semi-finals will have a BO5 format and the grand finals will be played in BO7 format.

Prize Pool Distribution

A total of 210,000 Mobile Legends diamonds will be distributed to the top 8 teams who will qualify for the regular season.

• Champion - 5,000 Diamonds

• 2nd Place - 3,000 Diamonds

• 3rd Place - 1500 Diamonds

• 4th Place - 1500 Diamonds

• 5th Place - 1,000 Diamonds

• 6th Place - 1,000 Diamonds

• 7th Place - 1,000 Diamonds

• 8th Place - 1,000 Diamonds

Teams who reach the regular season will each receive RM 1,000 ($236 USD) along with jerseys and medals.

For the playoffs stage of the MMC Season 1, the prize pool distribution is as follows;

• Champion - RM 6,500

• 2nd Place - RM 3,000

• 3rd Place - RM 2,000

• 4th Place - RM 1,500

• 5th Place - RM 1,000

• 6th Place - RM 1,000

• 7th Place - RM 500

• 8th Place - RM 500
