The participating teams for the inaugural Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Development League Philippines (MDL PH) Season 1 have been revealed. The league shall also feature two amateur teams Gamelab and ZOL Esports, two of the best amateur teams in Mobile Legends esports. Teams from the MLBB Professional League (MPL) PH scene shall field their development squads and compete for the championship title. The MDL PH Season 1 will kick off sometime in February and will commence before the start date of the MPL PH Season 11.

More details regarding the tournament shall be revealed in the near future. For now, only the participating teams have been revealed.

What is MDL PH Season 1 start date?

The upcoming MDL PH Season 1 will officially kick off on 15th February. This was revealed on the official Facebook page of the amateur league.

Following the announcement of the league’s start date, Moonton has also revealed the list of participating teams. Aside from the MPL teams, two amateur squads have also been invited to compete.

Here is the list of teams competing in the MDL PH Season 1;

  • ECHO Proud

  • Nexplay EVOS Tiger Cubs

  • Smart Omega Neos

  • Bren x Euphoria

  • ONIC Arsenals

  • RSG Philippines

  • TNC Neo

  • Gamelab

  • ZOL Esports

Gamelab is one of the dominant teams in the MLBB amateur scene. The squad won several championship titles last year like the King’s League event organized by Dark League Studios and the Top Clans 2022 Winter Invitational.

ZOL Esports is known to be home of seasoned MLBB stars like the M2 World Champions Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr. and Allan “Lusty” Castromayor Jr. as well as the former Nexplay talent Jeff “S4gitnu” Subang.

The full details for the upcoming tournament are yet to be revealed. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates like team rosters, match format, prize pool, and more.
