The M5 World Championship Wild Card stage is set to be held in November 2023 in Malaysia. The event will feature eight teams competing for the two group stage slots for the main event which will be held in the Philippines this December. Teams in the M5 World Championship Wild Card stage shall shall be decided through local qualifier tournaments in their respective regions. As of now the confirmed regions participating in the Wild Card stage are Malaysia, Mekong, Latin America, South Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), and Mongolia. Two of the eight participating regions of the M5 World Championship Wild Card stage are yet to be unveiled by Moonton.
M5 World Championship Wild Card Stage venue officially announced
Moonton has officially revealed through a Facebook post that the M5 World Championship Wild Card stage shall have a separate venue in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“Witness the new and improved format of the M Series, featuring eight participating regions and countries set to battle it out for two (2) slots in the most prestigious MLBB esports tournament of the year!” the post captioned.
The exact schedule for the upcoming M5 World Championship Wild Card stage is yet to be unveiled. However, the event is set to kick off in November 2023.
After the M5 World Championship Wild Card stage, the event will continue with the Group and Knockout Stages, scheduled to take place in the Philippines in December 2023. During this phase, teams will compete for ultimate glory, and the M5 Champion will secure the lion's share of the $900,000 USD prize pool.
