Following an 8th-place finish in Season 11 and a 9th-place finish in Season 12, the team is determined to stage a resurgence with Yawi's expertise as the roamer.

AURA Fire welcomes Yawi to its MLBB roster

Through an Instagram post on 1st February 2024, AURA Fire announced one of its player acquisitions for the upcoming MPL ID Season 13. The acquisition of Yawi shall be the first time that the Indonesian esports organization has signed a Filipino import to represent its team.

“From the depths of the ocean, to the highest sky the Orca turns dragon, it is YAWI!!” the post captioned.

Yawi is considered as one of the most experienced pro players in the Mobile Legends esports scene in the Philippines. He was one of the key members that led ECHO to win the MPL PH Season 10 and the M4 World Championship.

The momentum continued as ECHO dominated the MPL PH Season 11 but it was abruptly halted as the team finished in 3rd place in the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023, failing to win the championship title. Following this, Yawi was replaced by Jaypee “Jaypee” Cruz in the main lineup for Season 12 before eventually leaving the team on 29th January 2024

With the addition of Yawi to the roster, It will be interesting to see how Aura Fire performs in the upcoming MPL ID Season 13.
