The recently concluded Battlegrounds India Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 Season 2 was one of the toughest competitions in recent times and the competition has been fierce with the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 as well.
Godlike Esports is one of the veteran esports organizations in the esports industry in India. It has had a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team which was formerly the Players Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) roster since the first ever esports event. In a recent development, Chetan “Kronten” Chandgude, the founder of Godlike Esports, revealed that there will be a few changes to its BGMI lineup.
Kronten provides update on Godlike Esports’ BGMI lineup
Godlike Esports has been one of the well known esports organizations. Its current BGMI lineup dominated several events in the past but since Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2022 Season 1 its performance has not been consistent.
Kronten recently took to his instagram to inform the fans that its BGMI lineup will be making changes heading into the future. He shared an instagram story that read, “Hey guys, just wanted to share a quick update about the BGMI team. Expect a few changes within the team. I will be addressing the next update soon on my live stream. Stay tuned.”
After the statement was issued by Kronten, fans noticed that a few members from Godlike Esports like Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare and Suraj “Neyoo” Majumdar changed their Instagram bio and removed the part which said "esports athlete” for Godlike Esports. However, Neyoos bio has since been changed back to the original one which said esports athlete for Godlike Esports. Following this, fans were wondering if these players were the ones being released from the roster.
This move from Godlike Esports comes after it was eliminated from BGMS 2023 Season 2 and BGIS 2023. It had shown below average performances throughout BGMS 2023 Season 2. On the other hand, it had started BGIS 2023 on a promising note and dominated the initial stages, but was later eliminated in Round 3.
In the ongoing tournaments, like OS Invitational and Upthrust Pro Showdown, Godlike Esports was seen playing with different players and it seems like it has started trying out new players for the team. It is to be noted that Godlike Esports was also seen playing BGIS 2023 and a few matches in BGMS 2023 Season 2 without its regular In Game Leader (IGL) Arjun “Shadow” Mandhalkar. Fans are waiting for further updates from Godlike Esports or Kronten regarding the changes in the team.
