Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) since its return in May has introduced several amazing events and features. The recent Dragon Ball Z event was one of the most anticipated by the fans and after its release in the 2.7 update fans are excited to see what Krafton has to offer in its new 2.8 update. The 2.8 update will bring in modes like Zombie mode and WOW mode, firearms update, A2 Royale Pass and much more.
BGMI Update 2.8 expected features
The 2.8 update in BGMI will be the third significant update since the game’s return in May. Players can expect the release of this update in the second week of October. The update will be available on Android devices first and then will be rolled out to iOS devices.
The A2 Royale Pass will also be available in the 2.8 update. The A2 Royale Pass is based on the Sunshine Delight theme and is expected to be available in BGMI on 3rd October. Players looking to purchase the Royale Pass can do so from 3rd October 2023. The Royale Pass will have levels going up to level 100.
The 2.8 update is already released in the title's global counterpart, Players Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, and as always fans are excited to see what the new update has to offer. As the majority of the features from PUBG have been transferred over to BGMI, we can assume that the primary features from the PUBG Mobile 2.8 update will most probably be added to BGMI as well.
The 2.8 update will see the return of Zombie mode with a few changes and additions like Mutation Weapons such as Gauntlets and Blades, a new collaboration with KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), Firearms update, the new C5S13 Season and many more features.

Zombies Edge mode includes Aerolith Lab, Outposts, and several zombies such as Mutants, Berserkers, and Rippers, as well as Mutation Weapons (Gauntlets and Blades).
Collaboration with KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)
New WOW mode modifications and additions.
Firearms updates include the Crossbow, ACE32, and Honey Badger.

All important and major updates in BGMI always arrive a few days before the start of the new season, the above mentioned timeline was estimated accordingly. The update period that lasts 2 months has also been taken into account. The last few updates were delayed by a few days as Krafton had to fix a couple of issues, so it is recommended that players should wait for the official announcement from Krafton for the release of the 2.8 update.
