The second week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10 opened with an intense match between RSG PH and TNC Pro Team. Kenneth “Kenji” Villa put forth an exceptional performance as he spearheaded the Raiders into taking down the rising Phoenix with a clean sweep 2-0 victory. During a post-match press conference, RSG PH’s head coach Brian "Panda" Lim mentioned how Kenji was crucial for the team’s success in the second week of the MPL PH Season 10. He also clarified that there are no main five in the team as all members are equal and have their own specializations.
RSG PH delivers TNC Pro Team its third loss
One of the pioneers of the MLBB esports scene in the Philippines, Kenji, proved to the fans that he is still formidable despite his veteran status. The pro player showcased how he fits in with the iconic squad of RSG PH as he spearheaded the raiders to a solid clean sweep victory against TNC Pro Team in a dominant fashion.
In game two, the Phoenix desperately tried to close the game but failed as the raiders’ star Gold Laner Eman "EMANN" Sangco refused to die by pulling off impressive dodge mechanics against Mark "Kramm" Genzon Sojero Rusiana’s Phoveus.
It also did not help that Kenji was forcing TNC Pro Team to respond to his aggression, allowing RSG PH to secure crucial objectives and turning the tides to end the series with a 2-0 victory.
Kenji is a big help for RSG PH, says Panda
Kenji’s performance in the second week of the MPL PH Season 10 was duly noted as the veteran player received praises from fans. Needless to say, he convinced the fans that he is more than just a substitute player for Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo. Through a post-match press conference, Coach Panda explained how important Kenji is for RSG PH.
“He’s a big help… because we know that we don’t have only one piece to work on,” stated the head coach.
He added that “We did not win because our players are overpowered and we did not win because the coach is just really overworking. It’s just all of our teamwork, we have strong individual players but we are strong only when we are five.”
“Kenji proved today that he is part of that five, also,” lauded coach Panda.
RSG PH will be facing ONIC PH on 21st August at 6:00 PM (PHT). TNC Pro Team, on the other hand, will have to go back to the drawing board and find a way to end its losing streak against Omega Esports on the same day at 8:00 PM (PHT).
