KarlTzy Aims to Prove ECHO Is Not Yet Obsolete

The renowned super team ECHO won against ONIC PH with a 2-1 scoreline in the first week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. The deciding match clutch was all thanks to Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales’ Wanwan. The Gold Laner spearheaded his team to secure a wipeout before closing the game. Through a post-match interview, the team’s star jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno revealed that he wants to prove to the fans that despite an untimely defeat last season, ECHO is still a super-team and will aim for the championship title in the MPL PH Season 10.

Bennyqt leads the charge as ECHO takes down the new face of ONIC PH

ECHO had a disappointing run last season. The renowned super team was kicked out of the competition after being eliminated by Omega Esports on the first day of the playoffs stage. This season, ECHO aims to redeem itself and claim the championship for the MPL PH Season 10.

The super team impressed fans with its first victory of the season against the revamped ONIC PH squad. While the Yellow Hedgehogs managed to open up a third deciding match, the team failed to keep its momentum going.

In the third match of the series, Bennyqt opted for a Wanwan pick which definitely worked in ECHO’s favor. Kenneth “Nets” Barro’s Clint allowed ONIC PH to secure a Lord at the 13-minute mark. However, the team overstayed its welcome, allowing ECHO to initiate a counterattack which resulted in a triple kill from Bennyqt. The super team capitalized on its lead to secure the next lord and closed the game at the 18-minute mark after a five-man wipe-out.

KarlTzy wants to prove that ECHO can win the championship title

Through a post-match interview, KarlTzy shared that he wants his team to redeem itself after the team’s disappointing finish in the last season.

“I want to prove that we are not yet obsolete. Also, I want to prove that the super team can become a champion.” the star Jungler said.

KarlTzy previously stated he was never fond of using the Jungle Emblem, which was the meta in the previous season. However, the latest patch delivered changes that made Jungle Emblems more balanced, allowing KarlTzy to make use of his comfortable emblems once again.

ECHO is scheduled to go up against Bren Esports in the second week of the MPL PH Season 10 on 19th August at 8:00 PM (PHT). It shall be most interesting to see if the renowned super team can win the championship title this time around.
