He also expressed that he was eagerly waiting and missing the game and its tournaments.
JONATHAN has no plans to switch to New State Mobile
With BGMI still unavailable in the country, a lot of players, including Team SouL’s Sohail “Hector” Shailk and Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, are considering switching to New State Mobile. The game’s publisher, Krafton, is also investing a hefty amount in fostering the esports scene of the game. Two New State Mobile LAN tournaments - The Esports Club New State Open and Snapdragon Pro Series New State Mobile Open, were also hosted recently, which attracted a significant amount of viewership. Even though a lot of players are switching to New State Mobile, JONATHAN currently does not plan to switch games.
In a recent livestream, a viewer asked JONATHAN about his chances of shifting to New State Mobile. JONATHAN replied that he does not have any immediate plans to switch to New State Mobile. “As of now, there is no plan for shifting to New State Mobile. Let’s see. Let’s see means there’s no plan for now because, as you know, BGMI can return anytime. I personally prefer BGMI more,” he said.
JONATHAN further expressed that he wanted BGMI to return. However, in case he does not return or takes a long time, he might consider switching to New State Mobile. “If in future we get to know that BGMI… I hope it does not happen, but if it happens that we come to know that BGMI would not return, or it would take time, then I will think about it,” he said. “Till then, I am waiting for the game to return. I know you all are also waiting, and to be honest, I am eagerly waiting,” he added.
JONATHAN also expressed that he was missing the game and tournaments. “I want to start playing tournaments and all again. I am missing it a lot,” he said.
Before this, JONATHAN’s BGMI teammate and GodLike Esports’ professional BGMI player Suraj “Neyoo” Majumdar stated that he had urged his teammates to shift to New State Mobile. He also explained that if BGMI does not return, the lineup would eventually have to switch to New State Mobile, and then they would need time to catch up with the existing competition in the game’s esports scene. He also added that JONATHAN would not switch to New State Mobile but did not reveal why he thought so.
