Hoon shared how he is scared of PH MLBB players due to their impressive skills in the game.
Hoon believes that PH MLBB Players are on a whole new level compared to other regions.
Despite having two PH teammates on his team, Hoon thinks that his squad is incomparable to an all-PH team.

Mid Laner of the North American (NA) squad TheOhioBrothers, Jang "Hoon" Seong-hun shared why he thinks Filipino players are beasts in the  Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene. He elaborated that the Philippines (PH) players always play differently compared to other regions which makes them scary to go against in tournaments. Hoon added that while his team, has two PH pro players, it doesn’t compare to a full-Filipino MLBB squad.

TheOhioBrothers is currently competing in the North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) Spring 2023. The tournament serves as the qualifier for the NA team that shall compete in the upcoming Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023.

Filipino MLBB Players are scary, says Hoon

During a watch party for the final week of the MLBB Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11 regular season. Hoon shared his observations of how pro players from the tournament performed. According to him, it’s scary how PH players can pull off insane plays.

“Bro, Filipinos are scary, I’m telling you,” stated Hoon. “They’re a different breed.”

Hoon is a member of TheOhioBrothers, the top-performing team in the currently ongoing NACT Spring 2023. The squad also features two Filipino players, the former Nexplay EVOS standout Rainiel "URESHIII" Logronio and the former ONIC PH talent Peter "Basic" Lozano.

Despite having two PH players on his team, Hoon thinks his team can’t compare to an all-PH team.

“I mean, we have two in our team [TheOhioBrothers] but they’re washed,” he stated. “They ate too much Big Mac.”

The MPL PH Season 11 teams are currently preparing for the playoffs stage. The final phase of the league event is set to be held on 4th May at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines.

The NACT Spring 2023 is still ongoing with its regular season and the playoffs stage is set to kick off on 29th April.

Both tournaments serve as the qualifiers for the upcoming MSC 2023. The top two teams in the MPL PH Season 11 Playoffs and the crowned champion in the NACT Spring 2023 shall compete in the upcoming international event.
