Hoon is scared to face KarlTzy in tournaments.
Team Outplay is competing against BloodThirstyKings in the grand finals of the NACT Spring Split 2023 for a ticket to the MSC 2023.

Team Outplay’s mid laner Jang "Hoon" Seong-hun is having second thoughts about facing ECHO after the squad demolished Blacklist International in the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11. The North American (NA) pro player expressed how he's afraid to face the killer orcas’ star jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno. According to Hoon, KarlTzy’s presence feels more intimidating compared to his allies.

Team Outplay shall be facing the iconic BloodThirsty Kings in the grand finals match of the North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) Spring Split 2023 on 14th May. The winner shall represent NA in the upcoming Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023.

Hoon in shock after ECHO swept Blacklist International for the second time

A lot of fans witnessed a repeat of the iconic 4-0 M4 World Championship sweep by ECHO against Blacklist International in the MPL PH Season 11. Aside from the Filipino fans, a lot of viewers from overseas took wind of this moment, including Team Outplay’s Hoon.

In one of his livestreams where he watched the grand finals match between the two strongest PH teams, the NA mid laner commented on how KarlTzy’s performance had him second guessing if he would really want to go against the killer orcas.

“ECHO bro, too good. Look at him [KarlTzy], do you want to go versus him? I don’t.” Hoon asked his former teammate Ian "FwydChickn" Hohl who was also watching with him.

He further added that “he looks like a natural fighter. Everyone looks like a baby in ECHO, except KarlTzy, the GOAT [Greatest of All Time].”

This wasn’t the first time Hoon was amazed at how PH pro players were showing unmatched dominance in tournaments. During the MPL PH Season 11 regular season, Hoon expressed how full-fledged Filipino teams are scarier compared to his team.

“Bro, Filipinos are scary, I’m telling you, they’re a different breed,” stated Hoon.

Hoon is currently aiming for a shot at qualifying for the MSC 2023 under Team Outplay. ECHO will be participating in the mid-season event alongside Blacklist International. It will be interesting to see if Hoon is able to get the chance to face KarlTzy in the upcoming tournament.
