The trend of foreign teams looking to acquire pro players from the Philippines (PH) is one of the hot topics in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) community right now. Amidst the ongoing roster revamps, Team SMG’s head coach James "Jamess" Chen revealed a list of PH pro players that are allegedly joining an Indonesian (ID) team. While some players on the list have been confirmed, some are yet to be officially revealed. EVOS Legends coach Bjorn "Zeys" Ong also made a Twitter post that the former ONIC PH pro player Jaylord "Hatred" Gonzales may be joining Team SMG’s Malaysian MLBB squad.

Coach Zeys and Jamess hints at Hatred's new team

Through a Twitter post, Jamesss posted a list of Indonesian teams and the Filipino pro players they allegedly have acquired. While ONIC Esports’ acquisition of Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol is no longer a rumor, some of the names on the list are yet to be confirmed.

At the end of the post, Jamesss asks the question “where is Hate?”, the former ONIC PH pro player who was recently released from the team. This led fans to speculate that Hatred (also known as Hate) may be joining Team SMG as the pro player also posted an image on Facebook highlighting that he is in Malaysia.

EVOS Legends’ head coach Zeys also made a post stating that Team SMG has acquired Hate. In the post he stated that Hate is the first PH player to head to Malaysia.

With the trend of PH players joining foreign MLBB teams, more esports organizations may also hop on to this trend and open more opportunities for PH pro players.
