The Wild Rift League (WRL) 2022: National Qualifiers concluded with the Chinese team, FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) winning the championship title. The grand finals were nothing short of intense as FPX won against Nova Esports over a game seven decider with a final score of 4-3. As the crowned champions of the WRL 2022: National Qualifiers, FPX will be heading home with ¥700,000 CNY ($110,546 USD). FPX takes home the WRL 2022: National Qualifiers championship title and heads to the WRL 2022: Season 1

FunPlus Phoenix wiped the competition during the national qualifiers. The team was seeded in Group D of the first stage of the WRL 2022 National Qualifiers. FPX won six matches and only lost once, granting itself 19 Points in total. FPX is also the team with the most points accumulated during the first stage, allowing it to secure a quarterfinals slot in the third stage.

Heading into the third stage, FPX was up against some tough competition. However, the team never lost a match, taking down WHG Esports, Team Weibo, and the finalist, Nova Esports.

The top six teams - FPX, Nova Esports, JD Gaming, Team Weibo, 305 Gaming, and WHG Esports, will be heading to division one of the first official season of the WRL 2022. The teams who qualified for the WRL 2022 Season 1 Division 1 will clash to determine which team represents China in the upcoming Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022. The 7th place to 11th place teams will proceed to the second division of the tournament instead.

To everyone’s surprise, Da Kun Gaming, the crowned champions of the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021, was not able to secure a slot to the WRL 2022 Season 1 Division 1. The team finished 7th-12th place in the national qualifiers and will be heading to the second division.
