Out of all the prominent Wild Rift teams in the Philippines (PH), Fennel Adversity is the only team that officially received a direct invite for the League of Legends: Wild Rift SIBOL qualifiers Phase 2. This was announced on the official SIBOL esports Facebook page. The first phase is an open qualifier where both amateur and professional teams will clash to decide who will proceed to the second phase. While the participation of Fennel Adversity is confirmed, other Wild Rift professional teams will still be competing against amateur teams to proceed to the next stage of the tournament.

FENNEL Adversity’s Sibol Qualifiers team roster

The team is composed of its star players Carl “FLA Calm” Jioseppe Lacsam, Miguel ”FLA Arisen” Vincent Pison, Domino “FLA Domeng” Magbanua, Maynard “FLA Arise” Limon, John “FLA Dani” Phillex Bulanadi, and Raphael “FLA Rafe” Alfonzo Umali. Spearheading the team is the head coach Melchor “FLA LionatioN” de Castro Jr.

Fennel Adversity’s Baron Laner Arisen is currently under suspension due to unprofessional behavior. However, his suspension will only last for a month, which may be enough time before the commencement of the Wild Rift SIBOL Qualifiers Phase 2.

Wild Rift teams vying to participate in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games

The search is on for the team that shall represent the Philippines in the upcoming 31st SEA Games through the Wild Rift Sibol Qualifiers. Phase 1 of the tournament is currently ongoing and features 30 participants competing to determine who shall qualify for Phase 2.

The top teams from the first phase will be joining the directly invited team, FENNEL Adversity, in the second phase of the Wild Rift Sibol Qualifiers.

A noteworthy detail is that the Philippines representative of the WIld RIft Horizon Cup 2021, Team Secret, is not participating in the Wild Rift Sibol Qualifiers. The organization is yet to reveal the reason as to why it did not enlist itself for the qualifiers. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates.

SIBOL is the Philippine national esports team that participates in international tournaments like the Asian Games and the SEA Games. The team previously earned the gold medal for Mobile Legends in the 2019 SEA Games.

With Wild Rift added to the pool of esports titles in the upcoming 31st SEA Games, a new opportunity has arisen for the Philippines, to compete for another gold medal in the upcoming event.
