One of the biggest Wild Rift esports organizations in the Philippines, Fennel Adversity, issued a penalty on its pro player Miguel Vincent "Arisen" Pison for allegedly indulging in inappropriate conversations with "a woman on a social networking site". Fennel Adversity issued a public statement on the matter detailing Arisen's actions and how it would reprimand the player for it. Arisen is a former Omega Esports Wild Rift pro player who was acquired by Fennel Adversity after his team disbanded in Oct.
Considering the fact that the pro player is one of the pioneers of the Wild Rift esports scene in the Philippines, this incident has certainly left a mark on the industry.
Fennel Adversity issues an official statement regarding Arisen’s inappropriate behavior
According to Fennel Adversity, one of its stand-in pro players, Arisen, received a three-month ban from all social media platforms while also being prohibited to join tournaments and scrims for one month.
“Miguel Vincent "FLA Arisen" Pison had an inappropriate exchange of conversation with a woman in SNS. We are taking full responsibility for owning up to the mistake of our player,” stated Fennel Adversity.
Currently, Arisen’s social media accounts are inactive and may return after his suspension has been lifted by Fennel Adversity. The esports organization did not disclose any more details regarding the pro player’s violation.
Who is Arisen?
Arisen first debuted as a Wild Rift esports pro player under Aether Rift. He and his teammates were then acquired by Nexplay Esports on 14th Jan 2021. With Nexplay, the team had a solid run, dominating regional esports tournaments such as the Wild Rift Asia Brawl 2021, Project ASCEND: Philippines, and the Wild Rift Underground. However, the team was released on 10th Jul 2021. Following this, Arisen briefly played under Omega Esports before joining his current team, Fennel Adversity.
The pro player is currently acting as a temporary player in the organization. He is expected to be participating in the upcoming Wild Rift SIBOL qualifiers with his team receiving a direct invitation to participate in the second phase of the qualifiers which is scheduled to start sometime in February, likely after his suspension ends.
