Omega Esports' Kelra joined RSG PH's Demonkite, Aqua, Nathzz, and Light for the MPL PH's Team of the Season.
RSG PH’s star jungler Demonkite believed Kelra was the bread and butter of Omega Esports.
Fans speculate that RSG PH's Emann was not included in the Team of the Season because Kelra was simply the one-man army that carried Omega Esports to the grand finals.

The grand finals match between the Kingslayers, RSG PH, and the Comeback Kings, Omega Esports was one of the most intense matches in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9. The match resulted in RSG PH taking the championship title while Omega Esprots settled for the runner-up spot. The championship team’s top-performing players this season - Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, Mid Laner Arvie “Aqua” Calderon, EXP Laner Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, and Roamer Dylan “Light” Catipon joined Omega Esports’ star Gold Laner Grant "Kelra" Pillas as the league announced its Team of the Season.

MPL PH announced its Ideal Team for the Ninth Season

Through a Facebook post, the league revealed the pro players that make up the Team of the Season. The team comprised four RSG PH members alongside Omega Esports’ star Gold Laner.

The Kingslayer’s Gold Laner Eman “Emann” Sangco somehow did not make the cut. Fans speculate that it wasn’t because Emann was underperforming, rather, it’s because Kelra was simply the one-man army that carried Omega Esports to the grand finals.

Even RSG PH’s star jungler Demonkite believed Kelra was the bread and butter of the Comeback Kings. Through a post-match press conference, the jungler said “we thought we needed to kill Kelra because he was the key player of Omega [Esports].”

Making Kelra the main target proved to be the most effective tactic for RSG PH as Omega Esports could not retaliate without its star Gold Laner. The grand finals match eventually concluded with a 4-1 victory for RSG PH.

RSG PH celebrate their championship victory.
