The highly-anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 is set to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11th June. The tournament will feature the top 12 Southeast Asian (SEA) teams competing for the lion’s share of the $300,000 USD prize pool. The MSC 2022 will be the fifth iteration of the annual SEA tournament. Last year’s championship title for the event was won by the Philippines team, Execration, whose players are now playing under the Omega Esports banner. Moonton is yet to confirm if the upcoming SEA tournament will be held offline with a live audience or not.

MSC 2022 Tournament Format and Schedule

Group Stage (11th June - 12th June 2022)

The group stage will kick off on 11th June with the 12 teams competing for a playoffs slot. Teams shall be evenly divided into four groups with three teams each. All Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) champions for each region except the Singapore team, will be automatically seeded in each group. The rest of the teams will be seeded through a group draw.

Matches will be played in a round-robin BO2 series with the top two teams from each group proceeding to the playoffs stage.

Playoffs Stage (14th June - 19th June 2022)

The playoffs stage will be played on a double elimination format.

More details on the playoff stage’s format will be revealed at a later date.
