Team SMG unveiled its roster for the MPL MY Season 10.
The roster features the former ONIC PH pro player Hate as the team's new Mid Laner.
This confirms that Team SMG has signed a Filipino pro player to its Malaysian team roster.

The former Mid Laner of ONIC Philippines (PH) Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales (also known as Hatred) has officially joined Team SMG for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia (MY) Season 10. When ONIC PH announced the release of its full roster, rumors started circulating that some of its pro players were being signed to foreign esports organizations. Team SMG’s head coach James "Jamess" Chen also made cryptic hints about Hate joining the Malaysian team for the upcoming season. These rumors have finally been confirmed through Team SMG’s roster reveal with the PH pro player playing as the team’s new Mid Laner.

Team SMG signs Hate to its MPL MY Season 10 roster

Through a Facebook post, Team SMG officially revealed its roster for the upcoming season. This roster announcement also confirmed the rumors of it acquiring a Filipino pro player.

With a new team and a new journey ahead of him, Hatred reverted to his former in-game name, Hate, which was what he was known as when he was with the Execration squad.

Hate almost had his breakthrough when ONIC PH secured an M3 World Championship slot during the MPL PH Season 7. However, the team was only able to finish in second place after a grueling match against the powerhouse team of the Philippines region, Blacklist International.

Team SMG’s MPL PH Season 10 roster is composed of the following members;

  • Aeliff Adam “Smooth” Md Ariff

  • Lu Khai “Sasa” Bean

  • Muhammad “Zaim" Sempoi Zaim

  • Hadiazwan “Box” Rosli

  • Raja Mohamad Anwar “Nuar” Raja Arif Shah

  • Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales

Team SMG had an amazing run during Season 8 where it secured a championship title. However, the team couldn’t defend its title during Season 9 when it got eliminated by Team Caracal in the lower bracket quarterfinal.

With a new and improved roster featuring a Filipino MLBB star player, it shall be most interesting to see if Team SMG is able to reclaim its glory in the upcoming MPL MY Season 10.
