Falcon Esports took home the championship title in the M4 World Championship: Myanmar Qualifiers grand finals. The squad defeated Fenix Esports with a 3-1 scoreline and took home the lion's share of the $10,000 USD prize pool. Falcon Esports will also represent Myanmar at the upcoming M4 World Championship, where it will play against the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams in the world. This is the team's third time representing Myanmar at an international level after its run in the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 and the Top Clans 2022 Summer Invitational.
Filipino-coached Myanmar team, Falcon Esports heads to the M4 World Championship
The grand finale of the M4 World Championship: Myanmar Qualifiers saw Falcon Esports taking the top spot after dealing an intense beatdown to Fenix Esports. The squad is led by a Filipino and former ECHO coach Dale Vitug.
The first game was an even matchup between the two finalists up until Fenix Esports caught Pyae "Silent" Sone's Karrie and Hein Min "yellowflash" Khant's Uranus at the 18-minute mark. This unfortunate mispositioning cost Falcon Esports the first game of the series.
However, Fenix Esports was not able to keep its momentum going as the sharp-taloned Falcons were able to bounce back in the subsequent matches to close the series with a 3-1 victory.
"This victory proves that Falcon Esports can represent Myanmar's strength in MLBB esports. We are hopeful that they can conquer the world stage and strive for higher glory," stated Ray Ng, Esports Ecosystem Lead, MOONTON Games.
Falcon Esports was able to maintain its dominant performance throughout the M4 World Championship: Myanmar Qualifiers. The squad secured a playoff spot without dropping a single game in the Group stage. It also managed to maintain its top-seed position in the playoffs against the contenders Galacticos Rising and Fenix Esports.
It will be interesting to see how Falcon Esports performs against the best teams in the upcoming M4 World Championship.
