ECHO has officially released its head coach Michael "Arcadia" Angelo Bocado from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) roster. The coach has been with the team since its journey as Sunsparks before eventually rebranding to Aura Philippines (PH) to then going on to settle with the current name of the team, ECHO. The team, which featured an all-star lineup, had an amazing performance during the early stages of the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) PH Season 9. However, ECHO showed signs of struggle during the second half of the tournament, another reason for this was also the sudden patch update that completely changed the meta for Jungle mechanics. The renowned super team eventually got eliminated by Omega Esports in the Playoffs.
ECHO bids farewell to its long-time head coach Arcadia
Arcadia has been with the team since its early days as Sunsparks. He led the team to conquer the MPL PH Season 5 and claim its championship title. However, despite the coach’s veteran status, ECHO announced on its official Facebook page that the head coach shall be leaving the team.
In the post, the esports organization captioned, “Coach Arcadia became what the team needed and more. He’s a coach, a father figure, a brother to some, and a really good friend. He was with us through ups and downs, and his dedication to his given role is definitely admirable."
ECHO added that the team may never feel the same with Arcadia out of the roster and that “not seeing his name this season is like having to let go of a loved one. It feels so because in ECHO, we are more than a team. We are a family.”
With the MPL PH Season 10 on the horizon, fans may expect new faces joining ECHO’s super-star lineup. It shall be most interesting to see if ECHO can keep its momentum going consistently this time around for the upcoming season.
