Fans witnessed a spectacle at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10 playoffs match against the M2 and M3 World Champions. Despite all odds, Bren Esports gave everything it had and managed to drag the series to a tug-of-war that lasted for five rounds. However, Blacklist International held on for a 3-2 victory, sending the Hive to the lower bracket playoffs to face RSG PH. During a post-match press conference, the Codebreakers' head coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza stated that he wants the team to make history like his favorite 90s basketball team, the Chicago Bulls.

Blacklist International outwits Bren Esports in a five-round series

Fans were left at the edge of their seats as Blacklist International survived a 3-2 thriller against the underdog team of the season, Bren Esports.

The opening game of the series was won by the Codebreakers. Bren Esports, on the other hand, staged a strong comeback with two consecutive wins, needing only one more win to close the series. After a classic Estes pick by Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna and Salic "Hadji" Imam's Faramis, Blacklist International was able to tie the series 2-2.

The Codebreakers were able to consistently seize map control with objectives thanks to some highly effective split-pushing tactics from Edward "Edward" Dapadap's Benedetta to confuse Bren. This finally lead to Bren's downfall with a magnificent 3-2 series victory for the M3 World Champions.

Coach BON CHAN wants Blacklist International to be like the 90s Basketball Team, Chicago Bulls

During a post-match press conference, Blacklist International head coach BON CHAN expressed admiration for the iconic Chicago Bulls of the 1990s. According to the coach, he wants his team to go down in MLBB history similar to the legendary Basketball team.

“We all know that it was the Bulls who built a dynasty, three-peat, and of course that’s similar to what we want here in Blacklist, to make history in esports, especially MLBB,” said the coach.

“Someday, we aim to be the Bulls of MLBB,” he added.

The Chicago Bulls attained their greatest success in the 1990s when they contributed to popularizing the NBA (National Basketball Association) around the world. They are notable for having one of the NBA's greatest dynasties, winning six NBA championships and two three-peats between 1991 and 1998.

Blacklist International still has a long way to go if they aim to be as big as the 90s Chicago Bulls. However, the team is currently considered one of the best teams in the MLBB esports scene with two MPL PH and one World Championship title.

Blacklist International is set to go against ECHO on 22nd October at 11:00 AM (PHT). Bren Esports will face RSG PH on the same day at 3:00 PM (PHT).
