BGIS 2024 The Grind - Week 3 - Day 1 - Groups 1 & 2: Overall Standings, Match Summary

Day 1 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 The Grind Week 3 has concluded with upcoming teams dominating the event. Underdog teams like Karunaadu Esports, Aslaa Esports and Star Players dominated Group 1 whereas Frequency Esports and Galaxy Racers dominated Group 2. The seasoned squads of iQOO Soul and Entity Gaming also showed consistent performances. 

The BGIS 2024 The Grind event will see 256 teams competing for a spot in the BGIS 2024 main event.

BGIS 2024 The Grind Week 3 Day 1 Groups 1 and 2 Match Summary

Group 1:

Match 1 Erangel: Star Players secured a 17 point chicken dinner. Karunaadu Esports placed second and got 16 points, 11 of which came via finishes. Kanwarnub from Karunaadu Esports was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 6 finishes. Version9 placed third and scored 11 points. WindGod Esports placed fourth and got 9 points. Forca Officials placed fifth and got 7 points. FFC Esports, Youtube Skull and ForcaZyn Esports were eliminated early with a single point each.

Match 2 Miramar: WindGod Esports grabbed a 21 point chicken dinner. Robin “Rexx” Singh from WindGod Esports was the MVP of the match with 4 finishes. Aslaa Esports placed second and got 15 points. Youtube Skull, MadSoul Esports and Rippers placed third, fourth and fifth and got 8 points each. FFC Esports and Megatron Gaming were eliminated with a single point each.

Match 3 Sanhok: Karunaadu Esports secured a 20 point chicken dinner. AadilJod from Karunaadu Esports was the MVP of the match with 5 finishes. Youtube Skull placed second and got 12 points. iQOO Soul placed third and got 10 points. WindGod Esports placed fourth, it showed good rotations and got 7 points. ForcaZyn Esports placed fifth and got 6 points. RVNC Esports was eliminated in the initial stages with 2 points.

Match 1 Erangel: Real Esports secured a 20 point chicken dinner. Galaxy Racers showed aggressive gameplay and got 19 points, 13 of which came via finishes. NoLove from Galaxy Racers was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Team Tamilas placed third and got 13 points. Blind Esports placed fourth and scored 9 points. 2B4B placed fifth and got 5 points, 4 of which came via finishes. Metal Wings and Xhibit were eliminated early with 1 point each.

Match 2 Miramar: Entity Gaming secured a 21 point chicken dinner. Tushar “Gamlaby” Das from Entity Gaming was the MVP of the match with 4 finishes. Galaxy Racers placed second and got 11 points. Real Esports placed third, it had a good mix of finish and placement points and got 10 points. Team Tamilas and BOB Esports placed fourth and fifth and got 9 and 6 points respectively.

Match 3 Sanhok: Frequency Esports grabbed a massive chicken dinner with 27 points. KrishnaJod from Frequency Esports was the MVP of the match with 11 solo finishes. Execute Esports placed second and scored 15 points, 10 of which came via finishes. Blind Esports placed third and got 11 points. Entity Gaming and MG Esports placed fourth and fifth and got 9 and 8 points respectively. Metal Wings was eliminated early with just a single point.

Day 1 of the event was dominated by upcoming teams like Frequency Esports, Karunaadu Esports and Real Esports along with the seasoned squad of iQOO Soul and Entity Gaming. A few teams like RVNC Esports, Xhibit and Heartbreakers were unable to put forth consistent performance and placed in the bottom of the points table with single digit points.
