Baloyskie Explains Reason for Taunting Rebellion Zion in MPL ID Season 11
The fifth week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) Season 11 saw a heated match that resulted in an unexpected exchange of taunts between two teams. After a grueling three-round series, Geek Slate stood victorious against Rebellion Zion and fans witnessed Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy making taunting gestures towards their opponents. This came as a surprise to many fans as the pro player is considered to be one of the most level-headed and mature talents in the MLBB esports scene.
Through a post-match press conference, the pro player explained his side of the story on why he couldn’t help himself and made the taunting gesture.
Here is the reason why Baloyskie was taunting Rebellion Zion
After the match between Geek Slate and Rebellion Zion, Baloskie and his teammate Jaymark "Janaaqt" Lazaro were seen taunting their opponents as they celebrated their well-earned victory.
The star roamer of Geek Slate gave an on-stage explanation during the post-match interview as to why he made the taunting motion at Rebellion Zion.
“Some team beat us too but I don’t feel like this. But, they [talk too much],” explained Baloyskie. “Before you trash talk, I think you [Rebellion Zion] need to improve more.”
During a press conference, he went on to explain that he regrets making that gesture after the game had ended since he had been overcome by emotions as his opponents had been provoking him and his teammates.
"That's just my feeling at that time, I actually regretted doing it a little because I thought it was too much but because they said a lot I didn't really like it and I'm a player who won't talk to others as long as they don't do that to me. But they did it so, yes, it happened,” said the Geek Slate roamer.
Geek Slate previously lost against Rebellion Zion in the second week of the MPL ID Season 11 regular season with a 0-2 score. However, Baloyskie’s squad eventually had their revenge match in the fifth week, resulting in a 2-1 victory.
Geek Slate is currently in second place with seven wins and four losses. Rebellion Zion, on the other hand, is in sixth place with four wins and seven losses.
