According to OhMyV33nus, the squad is only looking for new strategies and Super Red shall get more opportunities to play on the big stage.
According to coach Master The Basic, Blacklist International is still looking to polish its team chemistry.

Blacklist International confirmed that it's amateur Gold Laner John Redick "Super Red" Bordeos shall remain in the roster for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11. Recent rumors suggested that the amateur standout may be sent down to the development league lineup or get benched as a substitute player due to the recent promotion of the SIBOL gold medalist Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales. However, Blacklist International debunked this rumor, explaining that the squad is only looking for new team compositions and that Super Red will still have plenty of chances to showcase his skill in the MPL PH Season 11.

Blacklist International admits that it's still trying to find its groove

A recent post from Blacklist International’s Super Red led fans to believe that the amateur standout shall be playing his last game in the MPL PH Season 11 Week 5. This was also the time when the squad promoted one of its Mobile Legend Development League (MDL) members, Owl, who is known for being a part of the Blacklist SIBOL squad that won the gold medal in the 31st Southeast Asia (SEA) Games MLBB event.

However, Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna explained that this was not the case. Through a post-match interview, the queen explained that Owl's promotion was to expand Blacklist International’s lineup and explore more effective strategies.

“Actually, it’s not his last match yet. The reason why we added Owl [in the MPL roster] is to explore new strategies and we also have a reason why we picked [Super] Red. He really has potential and this won’t be his last match. He will have more opportunities to prove himself,” explained OhMyV33nus.

The team’s head coach Aniel "Master The Basics" Jiandani further explained the situation during the post-match press conference. According to him, the team is focusing on building the right chemistry for now.

“That’s what we’re trying to discover now, just like what we said before, right now we still have no final lineup. Until now, our priority is to improve. So we are looking for ways to improve the team,” explained the coach.

Will OHEB return to the MPL stage?

One of the most discussed topics in the MLBB community is whether, Blacklist International’s renowned “Filipino Sniper”, Kiel "OHEB" Soriano shall return to the MPL lineup.

According to Master The Basics, the return of the star Gold Laner is still unsure as they would need to follow the rules of player transfers between MDL and MPL.

“About OHEB, we are not sure because it would be best if we do this one by one, what I know is the minimum requirement for MDL is six players so if we promote OHEB, we would need to demote someone else,” explained the coach. “So, we are not sure who would be sent down [to MDL].”

Blacklist International is set to face Omega Esports on 25th March at 6:30 PM (PHT). It shall be interesting to see how the addition of Owl in the lineup will help the Codebreakers improve its performance in the MPL PH Season 11.
