According to ONE Esports, Antimage revealed on one of his streams that if an opportunity presents itself he intends to join the newly formed Filipino Mobile Legends team to experience the local meta. Furthermore, he allegedly mentioned that he wanted to join Nexplay EVOS in order to prepare himself for the upcoming SEA games in 2021 which will take place in Vietnam. Nexplay EVOS' full roster has yet to be announced, so there is still a possibility of Antimage joining the team and becoming one of the first Indonesian players to participate in MPL PH.

Antimage Wants to Play in the MPL PH Season 8

After the recent partnership deal with Nexplay Esports and EVOS Esports, Maxhill “Antimage” Leonardo, one of Indonesia’s best offlaners shared his curiosity with the Philippine Mobile Legends meta. In one of his streams on Nimo TV. The pro player reportedly stated that he wants to join Nexplay EVOS for the upcoming MPL PH Season 8 if an opportunity comes up

“I want to see the Philippine meta and use that knowledge,” stated Antimage.

He allegedly stated that the reason why he wants to join Nexplay EVOS is that he wants to know more about the country’s meta and prepare himself for the upcoming 2021 SEA Games which will be held in Vietnam.

Nexplay Esports Partnered with EVOS Legends

During a live stream on June 19, 2021, Nexplay Esports officially announced its partnership with the Indonesian Esports Organization EVOS Esports, called Nexplay EVOS. According to Gabriel Benito, Founder and CEO of Nexplay Esports, the two organizations would use their combined resources and talent to develop the esports scene in the Philippines.

“Not just in esports, but also on the talent side, sharing branding and sharing opportunities to one another. I don’t want to reveal too many things, but watch out for the things we are launching," stated Gabriel Benito.

This means that the possibility of Antimage making his way into the MPL PH esports scene isn’t entirely impossible. The pro player is considered one of the best Mobile Legends pro players in Indonesia, acquiring various trophies from MPL ID Season 3, MSC 2019, and most recently, the MPL ID Season 7 alongside EVOS Legends. His addition to the EVOS Nexplay will likely prove beneficial to both parties.

As evidenced by their recent victories at the M2 World Championships and the MSC 2021, the strength of the Mobile Legends teams in the Philippines necessitates foreign players like Antimage seeking opportunities to expand their knowledge and improve their playstyle.
