Alter EGO's veteran player REKT acknowledges the influence of Filipino imports in the MLBB esports scene in Indonesia.
REKT cited two of reason and said that two of the Indonesian representatives in the M5 World Championship have Filipino imports and how hard it is to win against PH teams.
REKT previously voiced out that he refuses to play under a team who has Filipino imports because he believes in "Indo Pride."

Alter Ego’s veteran player Gustian "REKT" shared his thoughts on the recent heated topic of whether Filipino imports have been carrying Indonesian (ID) teams in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports. According to the seasoned roamer, even though ID teams are still composed mostly of local players, those who have Filipino imports are now dominating tournaments. He also addressed how teams from the Philippines (PH) have been on top of the scene for quite some time and how hard it is to win against them in tournaments.

REKT comments on OhMyV33NUS’s statement that PH imports are carrying ID teams

The podcast by Blacklist International's renowned duo, comprised of Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" Rosario, sparked quite a debate on whether Filipino imports have been spearheading ID teams like ONIC Esports and Geek Fam into dominance.

Some MLBB talents shared the perspective that the current prowess of Indonesian teams could be partially attributed to the inclusion of Filipino imports, this includes Alter Ego’s esteemed roamer, REKT.

Through a livestream, the pro player reacted to OhMyV33NUS’s statement, acknowledging their claim.

“I don’t know, I’m confused, I can’t respond. The guys who made it to M5 [20]22 have PH members…I’m talking about facts too, [even though] It’s [Filipino imports] a bit small and there are four Indo players,” explained REKT.

He further elaborated how MLBB players from the Philippines are always at the top of the game, citing the recent Southeast Asia (SEA) Games as an example where the PH representative won the Gold Medal in the MLBB esports category.

“In SEA Games, the PH games were always difficult to win, that’s a fact,” REKT said.

Back in his days as a veteran player under EVOS Legends, REKT expressed how he is against the concept of having Filipino imports on his team. He explained that a full-Indonesian team is still his preferred lineup as he believes in “Indo Pride.”
