The League of Legends: Wild Rift’s Closed Beta was paused today. So far, select invitees in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia could play the game. Today, it has been temporarily closed. Riot will be resetting all progress from the initial beta. However, not everything will reset. Friend list, chat history, custom item loadouts, and other settings/permissions will remain untouched.
What’s Next For The Wild Rift?
The closed beta will now be expanding to other regions. Riot said it is looking to add a lot more players to the Closed Beta, including more regions. Players who bought Wild Cores will be given a refund along with a 20 per cent bonus when the beta resumes soon. Wild Cores are Wild Rift’s in-game equivalent to RP.

Map Changes In Wild Rift
Most of the map is similar to Summoner’s Rift in League of Legends. It will have three lanes, two jungles, one river, Dragons, Herald, and Baron. However, Riot is incorporating some changes to the map of Wild Rift. The game’s smaller size (compared to Summoner’s Rift) meant the developer had to remove Nexus turrets and add a Nexus that discharges turret shots. There are also newly placed Jungle plants and brush. Another visual change will be the rotated map perspective. While some of Wild Rift’s mobile screen-specific issues could be fixed by tweaking a few numbers, others required a shift in perspective of the entire map. Red side players have their maps rotated 180° to create symmetry in perspective with the blue side.
