Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been one of the most popular mobile games in India. The controls of the game are easy to master for beginners which is one of the reasons for its popularity. Krafton has always introduced new features and weapons in BGMI to keep the game interesting.
Shotguns have always been a part of BGMI. DBS (Double Barreled Shotgun), S686, S12K, S1897 and M1014 are some of the shotguns found on different maps in BGMI. The DBS is a double barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun known for being a beast in close quarter combat.
DBS shotgun Damage, Features and More
DBS was first used by esports athletes in the Chinese version of Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) known as Peacekeeper Elite or Game for Peace.
DBS was a drop only weapon when it was first introduced in BGMI. It can now be found with the regular weapons on the maps of Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. The DBS meta was introduced in BGMI in 2023 as the esports athletes started to use the shotgun in close combat and started reaping massive rewards.
DBS holds 14 shells of 12 gauge and also used to deal the highest damage in the game in terms of shotguns till it was nerfed in the 2.7 update. The DBS resets after every two shots to fill in the next two shells in the chamber. Its best use is in close quarter combat and can be used as a burst weapon as players can peek and shoot each shot without exposing the in-game character too much.

How to get most kills using DBS
To get as many kills as possible with the DBS, there are certain things players should keep in mind. The DBS is the most powerful weapon in close combat so it is important to get as close to the enemy as possible. The DBS offers 14 shots with 2 shots in each barrel, so players must use it as a burst weapon and should peek and shoot while holding the Third Person Perspective (TPP) angle.
Precision is important with DBS or any shotgun, players will need to practice tracking enemies in the Training ground to master this weapon. Although the headshots deal more damage, it should be noted that it is not ideal to aim at the head with shotguns. Players can aim at the chest height when using the DBS or any other shotgun to get the maximum number of finishes.
