South Korean video game holding Krafton, famously known for PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and New State Mobile, launched its latest casual PVP [player vs player] strategy game Road to Valor: Empires in March 2023. Road to Valor: Empires is a real-time PVP strategy game where players get to command mythical gods, beasts, and heroes, and fight against opponents. Gold is an in-game currency that has an important function in the game where it allows you to level up your garrison.
In this guide, we will see how to earn gold and how to spend it in-game.
Earning gold in Road to Valor: Empires
When you enter into a battle and essentially win with your deck featuring a Guardian, you are awarded trophies (works like rank points) and gold or gold coins. The amount of gold coins does not remain constant and it keeps changing as you gain levels or according to the battle that you recently fought.
You can also earn gold in Road to Valor: Empires by opening chests in the game. The different types of chests are as follows:
Common Chest
Great Chest
Superior Chest
Medal Chest
Supply Depot
Victory Chest
Glorious Chest
Let us see how much gold you can earn from these chest types. A Great Chest can contain gold anywhere between 17-25 coins, while the Superior Chest can give you gold between 34-50. The range for other chests is as follows:
Medal Chest: 112-168 gold
Supply Depot: 200 gold
Victory Chest: 216-324 gold
Glorious Chest:576-864 gold
Winning games can also give you these chests along with gold. Additionally, you also receive a certain amount of gold for your achievements in-game.
Players can collect these chests by claiming them from the daily deals available in Road to Valor: Empires. You can also buy these chests from the in-game store. Interestingly, you can also buy these chests to get more gold by spending the gems that you receive or buy.
Spending gold in Arena of Valor: Empires
Spending your gold or gold coins is straightforward in Arena of Valor: Empires. You can use gold for the following:
Upgrading Guardians, Battle units, and Armory: When you click on a particular card, it will show you the option to upgrade. When you upgrade, you lose gold but your battle unit’s attack damage and HP increases. When your battle units wield weapons and other armor items, you can use gold to make them slightly better.
Buying units from Daily Deals: When you go to the shop, you will see a section called ‘Daily Deals’ which has a free reward where you get one random type of chest every day and you will also see different cards near it. You can use your gold to buy these cards to complete your deck.
