Krafton’s latest casual PVP [player vs player] game Road to Valor: Empires is taking mobile gaming by storm. It is a real-time strategy game where you can compete with other players around the globe while commanding mythical gods, beasts, heroes, and army units. Guardians and Battle Units make the crux of the game and there are four civilizations or factions to choose from. Players can choose between Roman, Persian, Norman, and Japanese Guardians and battle units to assemble their deck.

In this guide, let us take a look at all the Roman units available in Road to Valor: Empires. Here’s all you need to know about the Roman Guardians and Battle Units in the game.

Roman units in Road to Valor: Empires

Players should note that all the units, both Guardians and battle units, are not unlocked in the beginning. Some of them will be greyed out and as you level up, you can unlock them. The Guardian will lead your eight-unit army in the battle. They have one passive skill that applies to all the units in your eight-unit army and two active skills. You can use these active skills in battle to gain advantages over your opponent. But note that you need to wait for the “Skill meter” to charge before using these skills.

First, the three Roman Guardians available in the game are as follows:

  • Caesar

  • Hades

  • Athena

Roman Guardians

Let us take a closer look at the passive and active skills of each of the Roman hero units.

Active skills:

2. Hades: He is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld. He commands the eternal fires and flames of hell to set everything in sight ablaze.

Active skills:

  • Definite Strike - Ally units in the target area have a 60% increased max HP and Attack Damage, but HP reduces by 5% every 1 second in return.

  • Hellfire - All units and buildings are destroyed by hellfire. When the fire is gone, it increases MP [mana points] recovery speed by 100% for 7 seconds.

3. Athena: Athena is the goddess of war and justice. She protects and fights alongside her allies until the battle is won.

Passive: Activates Goddess's Protection when Keep and Guard Towers have less than 50% HP

Active skills:
