Honkai Star Rail: How to Complete The Adventurous Moles Quest

Honkai: Star Rail offers players many side quests that can be completed apart from the main story. If you are exploring Jarilo-VI, you should consider taking up The Adventurous Moles side quest. However, for this particular side quest, you will have to complete a pre-requisite mission and it can be a bit confusing. After completing the initial quest, you will get your hands on The Adventurous Moles quest on Jarilo-VI. This quest asks you to hunt for certain book pages and solve a puzzle for free chests and other rewards.

Here’s all you need to know about getting The Adventurous Moles quest as well as solving it.

The Adventurous Moles Quest: How to unlock it?

The first thing you need to do is complete the main story of the Herta Space Station and surface Belobog to reach the underground area. At the start of the underground main quest, you'll meet Hook and her companions called The Moles. Once you progress a bit further in this story, you will unlock the first Companion Mission with Hook. She has a total of three Companion Missions and once you finish the last one, you will unlock The Adventurous Moles quest in Boulder Town. Note that you will also have to be at least Trailblaze level 24 for this quest.

The Adventurous Moles Quest Walkthrough

Talk to Julian in Boulder Town and get the quest. He will then give you a book called The Adventurous Moles and you will notice that it has a few pages missing. The table of contents will have hints for you to locate these pages. 

The Miner’s Missing Lamp

The first page’s location will be marked on your map in the Great Mine automatically once you take this up. Now on the map, teleport to the Overlook fast travel and walk up your way to the top. You will see an enemy here and after killing it, you can grab the first page called The Miner’s Missing Lamp. 

Now, turn right and you will see a path with an enemy guarding it. After defeating the foe, walk the same way and grab the miner’s lamp in front of you. Now, you need to walk a bit forward and place it on the wall, and the first treasure chest will appear.

The Unexpected Parchment

For the second part of the quest, go back to Natasha’s Clinic fast travel anchor, and talk to Julian again. After that, you need to head over to the Backwater Pass location and fast-travel to Transport Hub. Go in the opposite direction, turn right, and climb up the stairs till you reach an open-air café. On a bench in this area, you will find a missing page called The Unexpected Parchment. Following this, a mission will get triggered.

After reading the missing page, head over to the seating area of the cafe with tables and chairs. Collect the chair atop the table and set it upright on the ground to unlock the next treasure chest.

Treasure Hunt on the Battlefield

For the next part of the quest, you need to head over to Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone map in Honkai: Star Rail. Teleport to the Frontline Space Anchor and on the wall to your right, you will see a note. Now, you need to place three guns on each of the gun racks in the area and these racks can be found in the corners of the maze. Now, enjoy your next treasure chest!

The Crates Are the Keys

The fourth part of the quest requires you to go to Rivet Town and you can teleport to the Abandoned Market Space Anchor. Here, turn around to find a dark corner with a table and barrels; for some players, a chest is also located there. Grab the note and go over to the shelves in the area with two boxes. Take down one of the boxes from the shelf with four boxes and go to the shelf with two boxes. Now, place the box in such a way that it creates an upside-down L shape. Do the same with the other shelf, and the next treasure chest will appear.

Postface

Following this, talk to Julian again and this time, he will give you another page. After that, go to Administrative District. Teleport to the Central Plaza Space Anchor and walk up to Nika. As you talk to her, click on the option: “I collected all The Adventurous Moles…”

She will then agree to publish this book and hand over the final reward and also increase your Trailblaze level in Honkai: Star Rail.
