Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was officially released on 2nd July 2021, introducing new changes and improved features.

The changes also include things like UI/UX upgrades, improved graphics, BGMI gameplay updates, and more.

It has been a few days since Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was officially released by Krafton on 2nd July. Since then the game has already registered more than 10 million installs as per information available on the Google Play Store. Even prior to that, Krafton had announced having successfully pre-registered more than 20 million users. But despite all the buzz and the interest generated by the India exclusive mobile Battle Royale, not all the players have been able to identify the different features and improvements introduced to BGMI. Here is a list of some major changes highlighted by the developers recently.

Here are some of the major changes introduced to Battlegrounds Mobile India with some details as to what they are. This includes information about new weapons, maps, items, vehicles, gameplay upgrades, and other improvements.

  • Updated User Interface and User Experience

    The weapon detailing when scoped in has improved drastically, the main menu is a lot easier to navigate due to tripartition, and players can now directly share some of their BGMI settings (layout, sensitivity, more).

  • Improvements to Cheer Park

    The training ground has been upgraded, while there is also a new zone dedicated to practising quick draw.

  • New Items and Weapons

    A few weapons added to BGMI are M1014 Semi-Automatic Shotgun, FAMAS which uses 5.56MM magazine, and Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle. Also, an item called Spike Trap has been added that specifically damages vehicles.

  • Upgraded Battle Features

    This includes features like the ability to throw a melee weapon at the enemy player, the option to select multiple waypoints across the map, and ability to view from an 'over the shoulder' perspective.

  • New Maps: Hangar and Karakin

    Two new maps included in BGMI are Hangar and Karakin, the former is available for Team Deathmatch game mode while the latter offers various features like sticky bomb and penetrable walls.

  • New Vehices: Motor Glider and Coupe RB

  • The Motor Glider is available on the maps Erangel and Miramar, while the Coupe RB is there on maps like Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Livik.
