xQc Gets Invited to the 2024 Met Gala

On a recent livestream, streaming sensation Felix "xQc" Lengyel claimed to have been invited to the 2024 Met Gala. This announcement came as a surprise and a shock to his viewers and chatters as well as fellow streamer Tyler “Trainwreck” Niknam, who was on call with xQc. What seemed even more bizarre was xQc's hesitation to attend the event as he sounded reluctant about the invite.

xQc Reveals That He's Invited to the 2024 Met Gala

On his recent Kick stream, while some people were talking on the voice call, xQc, out of the blue, said, "Guys, I got invited to the Met Gala. Do I go?" While this first seemingly went over Trainwrecks' head, he then wondered if he heard xQc right. Trainwrecks asked, "You got invited to the Met Gala? Is that what you said?"

Replying to this xQc said yes and wondered if he should attend the event. Immediately the ones on the voice call said, "F*** yeah, you should go," with Trainwrecks even offering some fashion advice to xQc.

Trainwrecks said, "You’ve gotta have swag though, you know what I’m saying? You gotta have swag, X! This ain’t no like, long sleeve shirt under a t-shirt type vibe. You gotta keep it swag out.”

While xQc seemed skeptical still, Train added, "Get a $1M watch." The streamer's chat, all this while, was hyping xQc up, asking him to attend the event.

The Met Gala is often referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out” and is an annual fundraising benefit event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA. The Met Gala is held every year on the first Monday in May and this year, it happens to fall on 6th May. This year the event will celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and the official dress code is “The Garden of Time.”

Every year many influencers and celebrities attend the event. Notably, this year, TikTok is the lead sponsor of the 2024 Met Gala and it is possible for many influencers to be attending the event. However, many fans believe that the event should be exclusively attended only by the A-list celebrities and Hollywood stars.

At the time of writing, we are unsure whether xQc would actually attend the 2024 Met Gala and dress according to the theme of Garden of Time. It will also be interesting to see which designer he decides to pick if at all he attends the Met. Another looming question is whether he would be allowed to stream the event live and let his fans in on the experience. Only time will tell!
