Lego Fortnite has finally received its highly-anticipated Mechanical Mayhem update, adding numerous items and crafting mechanics to the survival game mode. Players can now access various Vehicle Parts, allowing them to craft numerous wheeled machines to traverse through the diverse biomes.
However, powering these vehicles requires Power Cells, and one key ingredient in making these cells is Glass. Although it was introduced in the previous patch for other purposes, this resource has now become crucial to journey through the hostile regions of Lego Fortnite. Without further ado, here’s how you can make it.
Here’s How You Can Make Glass in Lego Fortnite
Although Glass was added as a material in the previous v28.30 patch, the new Mechanical Mayhem update has turned this into a precious resource, thanks to being one of two ingredients to make Power Cells. However, there are certain stations you need to build before you can obtain it. These are:
Crafting Bench
Lumber Mill
Stone Breaker
Metal Smelter
While the Crafting Bench and Lumber Mill are early game stations, accessing the Stone Breaker and Metal Smelter requires you to reach the mid to end-game stages of this game mode, with the latter demanding you to be village level 9 to unlock its recipe.
However, if you have access to all these stations, you can begin crafting Glass by heading to the Dry Valley Desert biome or Beaches and collecting sand using a Shovel. If you don’t have one, use the Lumber Mill to make x1 Plank and x3 Wooden Rods, and then create the Shovel on the Crafting Bench.
After gathering Sand, you need to obtain Brightcore by venturing into the Lava Caves in the Dry Valley biomes. You will find these orange-glowing rock formations beside pools of Lava within the caves. However, mining these resources requires a Rare Pickaxe that can be crafted using x5 Cut Amber and x3 Knotroot Rod.
Once you’ve gathered both x2 Sand and x1 Brightcore, all you need to do is deposit them in the Metal Smelter to obtain x1 Glass. Besides crafting items like the Compass and the Spyglass, you can use this resource to make the Power Cells. Besides x50 Biomass, you will also need x6 Glass to build one.
