Is Bellsprout the Featured Pokemon for Pokemon Go's April 2024 Community Day?

Last month, after the Litten Community Day was officially wrapped, Pokémon Go finally revealed that Bagon will feature in the Community Day Classic event in April 2024 as the spotlight Pokemon. The event will allow players to encounter Bagon more frequently in the wild, and multiple bonuses will also be active. The Dragon-type Pokémon was last seen in a Community Day event held in 2019, and for those who’ve missed out, this is a perfect opportunity to get one of the best Dragon types in the game.

More recently, an accidental upload from the official Bralizian Pokemon Go Twitter account might have leaked Bellsprout to be the featured Pokemon for April 2024's Community Day.

Here's what happened.

Pokémon Community Day events are the best opportunities for trainers to catch new pocket monsters and encounter their shiny versions. Community Day Classic events often serve as reruns of previous Community Day events, allowing trainers to capture monsters they might’ve missed out on in the past. Evolving the event featured Pokémon in a limited-time window gives an exclusive move, which is incredibly useful in raids and gym battles. 

On 7th April, the Brazilian account of Pokemon Go seemingly revealed Bellsprout to be the featured Pokemon for April 2024 Community Day by accident. However, following this, the official account has gone forward and uploaded the leaked video on 9th April.

While neither the video not the post explicitly mention Bellsprout, the teaser features a Pokemon waving a leaf-like part, very similar to the one that Bellsprout has. This has led to the common assumption that this leaf-type Pokemon might very well be the central focus of this April 2024 Community Day.

If you are interested in the Community Day event, you should note that the Pokémon Go Bagon Community Day Classic event will take place on 7th April 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. The Dragon-type Pokémon will spawn more frequently, increasing the chances of encountering the shiny version. During the Community Day Classic event and up to two hours afterward, trainers who evolve Shelgon will unlock a Salamence that knows the Charged Attack Outrage.

Likewise, players can also look forward to additional bonuses during the event:

• Incense activated lasts for three hours

• Lure Modules last for three hours

• Take Snapshots during the event for a surprise
